Do you live in Nanaimo? Do you know where the nearest fire hall is located to your home? There are currently five fire halls located in Nanaimo.

Fire station #6  at 611 Nottingham Drive is to be built in 2013-2014 at the corner of Nottingham and Hammond Bay Road.

The other fire halls have planned upgrades in the future.

Fire Station #1 – 666 Fitzwilliam Street built in 1967
Fire Station #2 – 2499 Dorman Road
Fire Station #3 – 6230 Hammond Bay Road built in 1992
Fire Station #4 – 1425 Cranberry Avenue
Fire Station #6 – 611 Nottingham Drive new fire station planned
Fire Station #7 – Protection Island built in 1970
