Call your local fire department non emergency number before you decide to burn your garden clippings new local regulations are in effect. You may require a burning permit.
In cases of a similarity between local and provincial burning restrictions, the more stringent of the two will apply. Information on the new Provincial burning regulations is available at www.bcwildfire.ca .
