Help secure Moorecroft Regional Park

The Regional District of Nanaimo and the Nature Trust of British Columbia have acquired the 85 acre ocean front property in Nanoose Bay known as Camp Moorecroft.  In September 2010, this area was put up for sale by the United Church of Canada for $7.95 million after serving as a camp for over 50 years.

This area will now be called “Moorecroft Regional Park” and plans are underway for long term management.  Starting this Spring, Moorecroft Regional Park will be open for day use.

The Nature Trust of BC is hoping to raise $500,000 to secure its share of funding for the purchase of Moorecroft Camp.  To make a donation to the Nature Trust of BC, click here.
