New Page on Logging expressions and stories

Check out the new page, Logging Expressions and Stories under the Early Nanaimo History tab.

You will find eye witness accounts of the treacherous conditions of working in the woods on Vancouver Island back in the 1860′s.

As well, the cookhouse and bunkhouses at logging camps were the source for many expressions. I have included a list of words and phrases used and some photos from historical archives for you to check out.
