Wanted: Photos of Gabriola Island

The Rural Coordination Centre of BC is looking for photos of Gabriola Island to use on their upcoming community pages at www.rccbc.ca. These community pages are for the rural communities in BC only and serve to attract health care professionals to consider a rural community in their future. The Rural Coordination Centre of BC is a non-profit organization.

PictureBC.ca and TourismBC have available public use photographs of larger towns in BC but oddly beautiful Gabriola Island is one that is not currently represented in their databases.

Would you be able to provide the Rural Coordination Centre of BC with no cost photographs for their website? You will be given credit for your contribution.

Contact Helen Siwak at the Rural Coordination Centre of BC by email hsiwak(at)rccbc.ca.

Photo Monday: Golden Gem in Parksville

I always wear my black cap! Wilson's Warbler in Parksville

Ralph was fast enough to catch up to this Wilson’s Warbler you can just see his black cap.   This vibrant yellow bird is amazing. It is as if you were in a tropical jungle!  Also, the warblers eat lots of bugs, a good friend for your garden.
