A public hearing will be held next week on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Ladysmith City Hall Council Chambers at 410 Esplanade, Ladysmith.

The purpose  is to include in the Official Community Plan targets, actions, and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The proposed community greenhouse gas reduction targets are:
a)     5% reduction in total community greenhouse gas emissions by 2012 from     2007 levels,
b)    15% reduction in total community greenhouse gas emissions by 2016 from     2007 levels, and
c)    33% reduction in total community greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 from     2007 levels.
