Jake’s Gift – 3 day run at The Bailey Studio Theatre

If you missed Jake’s Gift last time now is your chance to catch it.

Written and performed by Canadian Playwright Julia Mackey, Jake’s Gift has won numerous awards including Best Solo Show, Best Drama, and Best Female Performer at the Victoria Fringe Festival in 2008 and the Best of the Fest at the 2008 Edmonton Fringe Festival.

Jake’s Gift is a powerful comedy-drama about a cantankerous WWII veteran who reluctantly returns to Juno Beach for the 60th Anniversary D-Day.

Theatre One – 30min acts wanted

TheatreOne’s JUST KIDDING Series of live entertainment for children  at Vancouver Island University Theatre (building 310) is looking for unique acts for pre-show entertainment.

There are four spots available, (one performance at each show) with performances taking place in the lobby of the VIU Malaspina Theatre at 12:30 pm. Each act should run no longer than 30 minutes. Entertainers  might be interrupted while people are arriving at the venue.

Show dates are as follows: November 28th, January 30th,  March 20th and
