Are you a fibre fan? Coming to Nanaimo at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre is, “The Vancouer Island Fibre Art Show”. It will on for two days, September 10-11, 2010.
The VI Fibre Arts Showcase is an opportunity for you to see first hand the works of local fibre and textile artists. These fibre artists will be showcasing their talents and highlighting the vast array of art that is created using fibre and textile media. You will find original, one-of-a-kind, classical, whimsical, innovative pieces exhibited. A Fashion Fiesta will be held on Saturday night from 5-9pm as the fibre creations hit the runway. Also, there will demonstrations, vendors market, guest speakers, spinners circles and childrens activities.
