Actors Wanted: Auditions in Nanaimo

Are you an actor?  The Nanaimo Theatre Group is holding auditions for their play,  Something’s Afoot and the show will run from May 18 – June 4, 2011.  

Auditions are for: 
- 6 men, aged 20-60 (must be able to sing as well as act)
- 4 women, aged 20-60 (must be able to sing as well as act)** Applicants should have a prepared musical piece.

Audition dates: Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 2-5pm & Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 7-10pm
Location:  Bailey Studio,  2373 Rosstown Road, Nanaimo.

Something’s Afoot, is about a madcap murder mystery musical based on the Agatha Christie novel, Ten Little Indians.  A diverse group of people are invited to the lonely island estate of Lord Dudley Rancour.  When the wealthy lord is found dead, mayhem results and a race against time begins to find out whodunnit!

The play Something Afoot is based on the book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach. The play is directed by Sheila Coultish.
