Island Movie Stars Local Hikers

Last summer a group of local hikers retraced the expedition that Price Ellison and his group took to reach the summit of Crown Mountain back on July 29, 1910.

This group of history enthusiasts were a part of the Strathcona Centennial Expedition.  Next month marks 100 years that the first provincial park, Strathcona Park was established due to the persistence of Price Ellison.

To see the movie that was made of this expedition, visit their websiteor come to Dover Bay High School on February 24th at 7pm. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go toward the Strathcona Centennial Legacy Fund.
