Millstone River gets trees

Millstone River, Nanaimo

Millstone River is being revitalized in part thanks to the many volunteers who are planting trees along the riverbanks.  Nanaimo Area Land Trust and students from Nanaimo District Secondary worked together with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to help returning coho and chum. If you live on the banks of the Millstone River and would like to see more trees lining your part of the creek, call (250) 729-4928 or email thirkill@telus.net.  (thanks to the Star for this news)
