Input Wanted for Neck Point Park

The City of Nanaimo is hosting an open house on Saturday, September 18th from 10am-2pm at Finn Beach in Neck Point Park.

The public is invited to provide input into future improvements and the long term direction for Nanaimo’s popular Neck Point Park.  In recent years, the park has been experiencing increasing recreational use, demands for off leash dog areas, and special event bookings for weddings.

The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department has been working with the public for the
last 8 months to determine how the now 36 acre park will evolve and how to achieve the
overall park vision while balancing modern use and demands. Display materials
regarding the potential park improvements will be available at the open house and will also be available on the City’s website and at recreation facilities.  For more information, go to the City of Nanaimo website in the blogroll.
