Yes, the pilot project was a success so weekly residential food waste collection is soon to become reality in the Regional District of Nanaimo!

The Regional District of Nanaimo  Directors voted to include food waste collection in the new RDN garbage and recycling contract. Stay tuned for when food waste pick-up will start in your neighbourhood!
