A free fun event for everyone.  Lots of kids’ games and mural painting, guided tide pool walks, marine stories, a scavenger hunt, and free guided kayaking from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Lemonade and snacks will also be on sale.

Descanso Bay Regional Park is located on Taylor Bay Road, a short distance from the Gabriola Island ferry terminal. The park is open year-round, offering 32 campsites on a beautiful 40 acre property situated next to the 113 acre Cox Community Park with its network of mature forest trails. This year, visitors to the regional campground park can enjoy a new water system, with pressurized taps supplying ultraviolet-treated water from the park’s well.
